Air Projects is a young company but brings with it experience and expertise in a range of areas. Here a few of the projects we have been involved with.
Piper PA-46-500TP Advanced Flight Training
Carried out flight training and general flight duties for the owner of this Piper Merdian. This model has an Avidyne glass cockpit avionics suite with dual Garmin 430 GPS units for IFR navigation.
Avian Adventurer Experimental First of Type Flight Test Programme
Carried out initial flight testing of Bruce Cooke's Avian Adventurer, one of a kind aircraft design. The programme consisted of envelope expansion, establishment of limitations, stability testing and procedure development.
The aircraft was subsequently issued a Certificate of Airworthiness by the NZCAA.
Part 115 exposition development
Working from a sound knowledge of NZCAA rules and a strong relationship with the regulator, we have developed a Part 115 exposition including Safety Management System, training and maintenance programmes.
Air Ambulance Flight Crewing - B200C Super Kingair
Air Projects' versatility has provided air crew services for a local air ambulance operator on a contract basis to assist crewing requirements. This aircraft operates with a conventional avonics suite with a basic FMS and electronic EADI and EHSI.
